Step by Step Guide: How to Use Your AuraGlow IPL Laser Hair Removal Device

Preparing for Treatment

  1. Shaving: Before beginning your treatment, shave the hair off the skin area you plan to treat. This should be your first step.
  2. Clean Skin: Ensure your skin is clean and free of any products or fake tan before using the device.

Setting Up the Device

  1. Powering On: Connect the power adapter and turn on the device by holding the power button for 3 seconds. Important Note: The AuraGlow device is not cordless.
  2. Device Initialization: Wait for the device to power on and the menu screen to appear. By default, the device is set to Hair Removal mode. You can switch between Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation modes by pressing the auto/manual button (top button), followed by the power button (bottom button) for 3 seconds. The selected mode (HR for Hair Removal, SR for Skin Rejuvenation) will be displayed on the screen.

Selecting Intensity and Mode

  1. Choosing Intensity: For hair removal, select from intensity levels 1 to 8. It’s recommended to start with levels 1-2 for your first treatment and adjust as needed. Always perform a patch test first and wait 30 minutes to ensure the chosen intensity is suitable for your skin tone. For Skin Rejuvenation, there is only one intensity level, level 1.

During Treatment

  1. Using the Device: Place the device flat against your skin and press the flash button (top button) to emit a flash. Safety glasses are provided and recommended for use.
  2. Automatic Mode for Large Areas: For larger body areas, select ‘Automatic Mode’ for faster treatment. The device will automatically flash each time it’s placed on your skin, allowing for continuous automatic flashes. This setting is best for large body areas only.

Frequency and Post-Treatment

  1. Treatment Frequency: For optimal results, we recommend 2-3 treatments per week. Each specific skin area should be flashed only once or twice per treatment.
  2. Turning Off: When your treatment is complete, press and hold the power button to turn off the device and allow it to power down safely.

  2. Double Flash for Best Results: To achieve the best results, flash each treatment area twice. This method ensures thorough coverage and effectiveness.
  3. Facial Use: The AuraGlow device is safe for facial use. It works effectively on areas above the lip and on the chin. Always ensure you’re using an appropriate intensity setting for these more sensitive areas.
  4. Full Brazilian Treatment: The AuraGlow is suitable for the full Brazilian area, allowing for comprehensive hair removal in this sensitive region.
  5. Sensation During Use: While using the AuraGlow, you shouldn’t experience pain. However, a warm, prickling sensation on the skin is completely normal and indicates the device is actively treating the hair follicles.
